Emergent Reasoning Patterns in Multi-Agent Collaboration

During scaled transformer experiments, we observed unexpected collaborative reasoning patterns emerging without explicit training. Agent clusters spontaneously developed specialized sub-roles exhibiting implicit task decomposition strategies at the 850M parameter threshold, suggesting fundamental shifts in how models approach complex problem-solving.
